Oil and Gas

Oil and Gas facilities are remote, hazardous and sometimes hard to get to. UrsaLeo’s Gemini Digital Twins can impact operations resulting in cost savings of 20-40% (McKinsey). Specifically:

Maintenance: Oil and Gas facilities often have multiple SCADA systems, are remote and have extended travel times. Being able to access a twin and accurately see data across all equipment, an accurate inventory catalogue and pull maintenance records both in the office and on site, using GenAI, can result in 20% improvements in efficiency.

Training: Oil and Gas operators require extensive training and on site training is both expensive and potentially hazardous. Immersive training using a photorealistic digital twin combined with a learning management system (LMS) can allow very realisitic training at the central office or even at home.

Cataloging facilities: Oil and Gas sites change over time and the changes are not always recorded. This means keeping an accurate catalog of what equipment is actually on site is a never ending (expensive) task. It often comes into the spotlights when assets are for sale and it is important to be able to provide an accurate inventory across multiple sites.

UrsaLeo is pioneering keeping the Gemini digital twin as the central truth of what is on site. When maintenance staff visit a site, they take photographs of the equipment (smart phone is fine) and those images are they used to update the twin with accurate equipment. Eventually AI image recognition will be used to automatically update the twin and connected asset databases.
