San Francisco — December 3, 2021 — Augmented Reality For Enterprise Alliance (AREA), UrsaLeo, and Walbridge today announced upcoming panel participation in IIoT World’s Digital Manufacturing Day. In a panel moderated by IIoT’s Greg Orloff, and titled “AR on the Manufacturing Floor”, Mark Sage, Executive Director of AREA,, John Burton, CEO of UrsaLeo, and John Jurewicz, Director of Technology for Walbridge, will address how AR is being used in the manufacturing environment. The panel will take place virtually on December 8th, 2021 from 12:00 PM – 12:55 PM ET. To register for the event visit https://manufacturing2021.iiotday.com/?rid=ursaleo

“The use of AR in industrial applications is growing by leaps and bounds and has become tantamount in Industry 4.0 concepts,” said Lucian Fogoros, co-founder of IIoT World. “In fact, 28 percent of those surveyed in a recent PwC study reported that they have implemented, piloted, or planned to implement AR and/or virtual reality (VR) technology. As AR becomes more widely used, a number of applications are being identified and becoming more relevant for equipment that lives on the manufacturing floor.”

During this interactive conversation, the moderator and panelists will detail how AR has evolved and is being used in manufacturing for remote and enhanced collaboration including picture in picture video. They’ll showcase 3D models and demonstrate how AR helps move beyond 3D for solid object interfaces and also display unique advanced visualizations. They will also address the problems AR solves, the benefits it provides, and the issues that need to be addressed to realize successful deployments.

Digital Manufacturing Day is a one of a kind virtual conference series that brings together IIoT subject matter experts from all over the world to share insights on IIoT & AI technologies applied in the Manufacturing Industry. The conference gathers a global audience to explore the most innovative real-world use cases of hardware and software facilitating AI at the edge with examples focused on smart manufacturing.
