About the job
We are seeking a seasoned DevOps professional with experience building and scaling platform services in cloud environments. You’ll be responsible for creating, building, and maintaining all activities related to the integration and deployment of our platform. This high-growth position is integral to our success and requires a thoughtful, methodical approach. You love analyzing process flows, creating, deploying, and documenting cloud based systems.  This is a greenfield opportunity to do it right.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, highly available and cost optimized on AWS.
• Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code.
• Build immutable infrastructure architectures.
• Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools.
• Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems.
• Implement CI/CD solutions.
• Design and implement a monitoring and alert system based on system metrics, analysis of log files, and custom alert rules.
• Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization.
• Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas.

Qualifications:

• At least 4+ years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, Cognito, Lambda, CloudFront, S3).
• Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments.
• Significant hands on experience with Pulumi, CloudFormation, Terraform or other provisioning tools.
• Expertise using Ansible or other configuration management solutions.
• Hands-on knowledge of CI and CD tools.
• Experience with container deployment and container orchestration services
• Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
• Working knowledge of git
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias for action and ownership
