About the job:
UrsaLeo is seeking a seasoned full stack web developer with experience building highly interactive web experiences leveraging AWS cloud based services for backend requirements. This is a remote position reporting to the CTO.

We need someone who we can count on to:

  • Own the websites that our customers and engineers use every day.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to build beautiful and easy-to-use web experiences.
  • Work with backend engineers to define APIs that the frontend will consume.
  • Define the architecture, libraries, tools, and workflows needed to build the website.
  • Document architectures, workflows, test plans, etc., and share your knowledge with the team.

Successful candidates will have:

  • An eye for good design and user experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Javascript, including WebGL.
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Proficiency with HTML/CSS.
  • Experience with common frontend development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with AWS services (Amplify, Cognito, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of git.
  • Familiarity with running Unity WebGL content beneficial.

Within 3 months, you’ll…

  • Have a solid understanding of our system architecture
  • Build a working prototype of the new product management web platform.
  • Migrate current website function and hosting to AWS.

Within 6 months, you’ll…

  • Complete and deploy the new product management web platform.

Within 1 years, you’ll...

  • Help define next generation features of the website and other products
